I dropped by Lakepointe Elementary, the school where we held our first preview, to check in with the office manager and drop off a card for the principal. I wanted to make sure that we had left everything like we found it.
The office manager showed up while I was talking to the general secretary lady and asked if I could come back to the meeting room for a second. I was a little nervous that we were going to be chastised for messing something up, but I was wrong. She said there is a campus improvement committee that meets 5 times a year to brainstorm ways of making the school campus better. It is made of up teachers, a community person, and a local business man or woman.
They extended the community person invitation to me/Sprang (if I am not available). She said it was a a way that we could help out without being to blatant about it. I was pretty excited that they thought of us in the first place.
We are going to drop 100 bacon egg and cheese biscuits off for the faculty and staff one day next week. The office manager was thrilled that we would make such a gesture. Nice to be able to make an impact for right around $100. Very cool.
