San Antonio!

Heather and I took the kids down to San Antonio for a few days and we had a blast. Keegan was sick the first two days and unusually fussy. Heather found us a room at an extended stay hotel, Staybridge Suites, for $50 a night on Priceline. I knew I liked the place when I walked into the room and there was a 32" lcd tv staring me in the face. The tv was forced to display more Dora, and Hello Kitty than anything else. Seems like a waste for such a capable tv.

Everyone has asked us if we went to the Alamo. We SAW the Alamo and that was good enough for us. We ate at a neat Mexican Joint right on the edge of the riverwalk. Initially, Addy was wigged out by the pigeons that would gather to eat any tortilla chips that were dropped. After a while we could not stop her from tossing them on the ground.

While we were eating she saw a boat coming up the river and she wanted to ride. So we took a tour of the city via a boat. It was a lot of fun and we learned quite a bit about the city. We checked out the San Antonio Zoo, it had lots of snakes and birds. I saw an anaconda for the first time.

Our goal was to have Starbucks everyday of the get-away. We almost succeeded, we missed one day. The time away much needed and very refreshing. I even squeezed in a round of disc golf on a cool course just outside San Antonio.
