Bring It On!

Our house in NC has been under contract for the last few weeks. The closing date has been set as Jan. 30th. I got a call from the mortgage lady last week that said there was a problem with our inspection and that we needed some drainage work done in order to close on time. So, I bit the bullet and spent the $2k that it cost to get the work done (knowing I would get it back at the closing next week). I'll keep it short because it is easy to see where this story is going. I called the folks in NC to tell them the work was done and it could be re-inspected. Only AFTER I had the work done, did they bother to tell me that they could not afford the house.

I say that to say this. I have no idea why we (Lowry & Sprang families) are having such a hard time selling these stupid homes in NC. I do know that we are supposed to be here planting this church. If it is an attack from the enemy, there is nothing he can do that will bring an end to our resolve to make this church a reality. If this is a time of testing from God, I say, "Thank you God for caring enough to test me." Nothing about this process has been easy. I guess it wasn't so easy wandering in the desert for 40 years waiting to enter the promise land either. Till next time…
