40 Minute Run

I figured since I can actually breathe while running, I would slow the pace and see if I could go for 40 minutes. I pretty much did. Pretty much meaning I had to walk for about 30 seconds after running a long way into a stiff head-wind. I don't know how far the run was, but I am more concerned about building a conditioning base than anything right now. If I can develop a strong fitness base, I can worry about speed later. I think I was running between 9:30-10:00/mile pace. Not blazing by any means. I felt like I could have run another 10 minutes or so, but am trying not to push to much to fast. I hope to get in 3 or 4 more 40 minute runs this week and then maybe bump it up to 45 next week. My goal is to be completing 1 hour runs by the middle to end of March.
