Quick Hits

• I'll admit it. I love American Idol. Seems there are some pretty good singers this year, but this one kid is crazy good. David Archuleta is a 17 year old dude from Utah and has one of the best voices I have ever heard. He did a version of the John Lennon classic, "Imagine" that had anybody that watches the show buzzing today.
  
• I've run three out of the last four days. I am ready to see it on the scales. I am eating right too.
  
• Just started reading a book called, "The church of irresistible influence." I will try to blog the highlights
  
• Got to spend time with Paul Johnson this week. I have a ton of respect for this guy on so many levels. He listens, challenges, encourages, and asks lots of obnoxious questions. All pastors need a guy like this in their life.
  
• I can't believe my son will be a year old in the next couple of weeks. He is a trip and laughs so much it is crazy. I mentioned to Heather tonight that I don't remember Addy laughing as much. Her observation was that Addy had nobody to laugh at. It is so true. Nobody gets Keegan to laugh like Addy does. She had him belly laughing tonight. That has to be one of the purest sounds in the world. The clear & sincere laugh of a baby.
  
• We are "breaking ground" on the building this week. We are having the ceremony anyway, the dozers should show up within a couple of weeks.
  
• I believe more than ever that Rowlett needs what we are doing with everything in me. There are tens of thousands of people who are living without hope and need a church that will love them unconditionally where they are right now.
