Random Thoughts

• I have lived in some pretty rough places when it comes to allergies but Dallas, TX tops them all. I feel like I keep Sudafed and Musinex in business these days. I need to buy that stuff by the case, it would save me a ton of money.
  
• Been listening to a lot of podcasts lately. There was a church planters conference in Georgia this week and I downloaded every talk I could get from that conference. Looking forward to devouring those over the next few days.
  
• Picked up the book Organic Church again. Been reading it. That book makes me nervous.
  
• Yesterday, I talked to a preacher buddy that I was on staff with nine years ago at a church in FL. It was very cool to catch up with him. I would have never found him if it weren't for google search.
  
• Been reading through the Bible this year. I think I mentioned in a previous post that I started on June 1^st in my Bible instead of Jan. 1^st. I have always bailed out like halfway through the year. I wanted to make sure that I read the stuff I have missed all these years. I am still on pace to read through it this year, but I will catch the January readings in June.
  
• I recently finished the book of Acts and it there was some crazy stuff in there. Paul is a trip. The book ends with him telling the captain of a ship what he thinks the captain should do. Nevermind that Paul is aboard that ship as a PRISONER. The captain doesn't listen and they end up getting blown out to sea and experience a shipwreck. While all this is happening, Paul basically tells the captain that he should have listened to him in the first place. They get to shore and Paul gets bitten by a poisonous snake. Whoever said the Bible is boring?
  
• I know some people hate reality TV but I love it. I think American Idol has some great talent this year and Big Brother is crazy as well. I have also watched some Celebrity Apprentice. That Amarosa chick should never be able to get a job in America after the stuff she has said on TV. I seriously thought she might get hit last week.
  
• If this post makes zero sense, I have the right to blame it on the cold medicine.
