This song got to me

I was sitting in my chair getting some work done. I had the headphones in and was listening to David Crowder Band's new album Remedy. It was mostly just background noise and I can't say that I was listening to the words of the songs. Then a song came on. It was honestly as if God himself began whispering in my ears, "Listen to this, always remember this." Crowder was singing with more and more passion, "Ever Faithful, Ever True, You I know You never let go, You never let go, You never let go, You never let go." I closed my eyes, stopped working for a moment and rested in the fact that God is faithful, true, and never lets go. I don't have these moments with music very often outside of a live worship environment. I relish the times God drops in unexpected to deliver a message so clearly that even a donkey like me can get it. Here are the lyrics.

When clouds veil sun
And disaster comes
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
When waters rise
And hope takes flight
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul

Ever faithful
Ever true
You I know
You never let go
You never let go
You never let go
You never let go

When clouds brought rain
And disaster came
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
When waters rose
And hope had flown
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul

Oh, my soul
Overflows
Oh, what love, oh, what love
Oh, my soul
Fills hope
Perfect love that never lets go

Oh, what love, oh, what love
Oh, what love, oh, what love
In joy and pain
In sun and rain
You?re the same
Oh, You never let go
