Easter Sunday quick hits…

• Today was a great day for us. We had our worship service at 2:00 p.m. and had a great crowd.
  
• There were several new families and couples that seemed to enjoy the service.
  
• I don't know the total number of people, but I would guess we had 50-60.
  
• We even had one family that came because of the article that was in the paper last weekend. It was great to hear that story.
  
• Lots of pre-schoolers and babies in church today.
• Easter was a ton of fun for our family this year. We hid eggs for Addy and Keegan and they had a blast finding them. Holiday's are becoming special as our kids get older and traditions are beginning.
  
• Music was great. The mix was the best we have had so far in this building.
  
• Somehow the last half of my message did not make it to the front of the building. I preached the last half of the sermon without notes. I thought I was going to faint when I turned the page and there were no more notes, just the music stand looking back at me.
  
• People lingered around at the end today and mingled. That is always a good thing.
  
• I got to eat an Easter brunch for the first and probably the last time today. A friend of ours is a chef at a swanky place downtown and we were their guests at brunch today. The amount of food was unbelievable, sushi, shrimp, crab legs, made to order omlets, pancakes, French toast, waffles, fresh fruit, mountains of cheese, carved beef, carved pork, potatoes, pastries, fancy mac and cheese, veggies, baklava and then a two tiered table full of pies, cakes, and other desserts. IT WAS NUTS. Thanks Juan and Xuan.
  
• We spent the afternoon hanging out with friends from Grand Prairie, good times.
  
• I am excited to get to do a service next week and not have to wait a month for it.
  
• Props to our bassist, Brad Bloomer, who has stepped in on short notice and knocked it out of the park.
