Labor Day

I started the day by mowing my neighbor's bakyard. I have been mowing her yard all year but she keeps the gate to the back locked and never seems to be home when I am mowing. The result was mid thigh high grass. It was very tall. I had to weedwhack the backyard before I could mow it. It was a slow and tedious process. It looked nice when I was done.

Then we went to buy the kids some shoes and grab some lunch. I should be in the kid's shoe business. Lots of money to be made there. Pei Wei lunch was GREAT because they gave us the wrong dish and let us keep the one the messed up. It was a honey glazed shrimp dish and was deliciouso, as Dora would say.

Came home and picked up my friend Blaine to play a round of disc golf. He played with a traditional frisbee which reminded me of the first round I ever played. He could throw it a long way, but it was no match for the discs specifically desgined for disc golf. I hope it was the first of many rounds together.

Came home, got cleaned up and headed of to the Rosados. They are great friends and great hosts. Juan is a chef and everything he cooks is delicious. He makes all his own sauces and marinades. It was delicious. He grilled wings, lamb chops, and pork loin and corn on the cob. Then we had potatos (I forgot to eat one) and a couple of asian type salads to choose from.

Not a relaxing day in terms of chilling out, but I got a lot done, had some fun and hung out with friends. I call that a successful Labor Day.
