Off Day

I am off on Thursdays and Heather had given me a coupon for a one hour massage for Father's Day that I had yet to use. So she booked it for me with Kathy. So I arrived at 9:00 a.m. and she started the massage.

The craziest thing happened during the massage. My nose started running like a faucet. I mean globs of snot that I did not know existed in my body. Enough snot that I asked her what was going on. She said something about the massage releasing the lymph nodes and that I needed to drink a lot of water so that my body could flush it out.

My nose ran all day, to the point where I had a headache and took some medicine. She told me that my nose won't do that again if I come back in the next couple of months, which I have every intention of doing.

It was hands down the BEST massage I have ever had. I have only had 3 or 4 others but this massage was completely relaxing. I went home and slept for an hour and a half. Went to Chickfila with Heather and the kids for lunch. After some prodding, Keegan was climbing to the top of the play area and sliding down the slide on his own. He slides down backwards on his belly while Addy tucks her arms by her side and flies down like a torpedo.

I had to referee two soccer games last night and it was total chaos. I was supposed to have two of the little flag dudes (assistant referees) and only one showed up. So I did most of a U-14 game without a flag dude, which means lots of extra running.

The second game was a rout. It was 8-0 in favor of one team with 12 minutes gone in the second half, when all the lights powered down. The timer was not set right and nobody at the field could turn them on. It was pitch black out there. We called the game with 28 minutes left to play.

The games went well. When I am not being yelled at by parents or coaches I consider the game a success.

That about sums up my day off.
