Busy Week

Here is a wrap of my week:
  • Had an unexpected conversation Monday morning that took most of the morning.  It was good but unexpected.
  • Had a fun lunch with some friends on Monday as well.  It was good food and good conversation.
  • Can't remember Monday Night
  • Tuesday started at 6:00 a.m.  Drove to SNU for a pastor's lunch, and chapel service.
  • Got there a bit late but received communion and went to lunch.
  • Most Surprising part of the day was Jonathan's name being drawn as the winner of an Ipod touch.  I swear he is the luckiest human being.  I was happy for him
  • Best part of the day was spending several hours in the car with a new pastor-friend from Denison.  He is a young guy that is really trying to take an old church in a new direction.  I admire a guy that can work patiently with an older church.
  • Decided on Wed. that I needed to make some changes in my diet.  I have gained back 13 of the 20 lbs I lost earlier this year.  With the holidays coming, I need to be heading toward lower numbers not higher ones.
  • Took the day off and went to Sam's club and Chuck E Cheese with the kids.  That was a lot of fun.
  • Had a couple hours to myself on Thrusday afternoon because Heather takes the kids to a pre-school type deal at a friend's house from 3-5 p.m.  Sometimes I watch Keegan during that, but I had to ref a couple of soccer games last night.
  • Soccer games went well.  Any time I can walk off the field without coaches, parents, or players yelling at me, I consider it a success.
  • Got up to finish my sermon this morning at Starbucks.  Got it mostly done.
  • Recorded a construction update with Jonathan at the building site.
  • Met Heather for lunch, and won't go into the details of the interesting person that happened to be in the restaurant at the same time.
  • Walked home from lunch
  • Finished my sermon.
  • Wrote this blog.
