Sunday Recap

  • Great day at Catalyst.
  • More first time guests this week.  That makes nine of the last 10 weeks we have had new faces at Catalyst.
  • Music was great.  Heather (my wife) led most of the songs which is nothing short of miraculous.  I can't tell you how many times she has made it known in the past that she would NEVER be the front person in a worship band.  It is incredible to see her respond in obedience to the Lord's leading in her life.
  • Heather and Meagan had some sweet harmonies on Sunday.  We have to get a mic in front of Meagan more often.
  • Sprang did a bang-up job on the Serve sermon.  Hit the nail on the head.
  • We have a hidden gem in Jonathan Sprang.  He is so much more than a dude with hippy hair that can play a guitar.  He is passionate, artistic, and creative on so many different levels.
  • The Construction Update was hilarious this week.  We poked a little fun, Catalyst Style.
  • It was so cool to see our people serving each other the Lord's Supper.  New families serving communion to families that have been with Catalyst since the beginning.  It was a beautiful.
  • Sprang's grandpa, Les Sprang, was able to come to the service.  He is from Florida and it was great that he could hear his grandson preach.
  • Les made a comment after the service that has stuck with me.  He said, "It is beautiful to see all the people pitch in and tear-down all the equipment."  Beautiful is a great choice of words.  Thanks Les.
  • Heather had a pot roast in the Crock-Pot for lunch on Sunday.  Hands down, pot roast is my favorite Sunday meal.
  • I got to ride the mountain bike with my buddy Blain on Sunday.
  • We had some friends over at about 8:30 to play dominoes, drink coffee, and laugh.  I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard.  My stomach hurt yesterday from all the laughing.  Erik, if you read this, I am sorry most of the laughing came at your near death experience on the mountain bike.
  • Great Day!
