Sunday Recap
- Hmm, a good day at Catalyst, my perspective would be good not great, but who knows what God was up to in people's lives.
- Time change kicked our butt. Next year we need to do a drawing or something to get people to church. About halfway kidding with that idea.
- Very impressed with some hardcore folks this week. Jeff Croy was going on less than 5 hours sleep, pulled his back muscle lifting a stage, and would not stop working. Matt Hiebert got less than an hour of sleep due to a rough night with his 9 month old boy, and was still up there jamming on the guitar.
- I struggled to find a groove with the sermon. I was trying to keep it simple and may have complicated things a bit too much. I feel I should have been more concise. From the comments after church, God was still able to use it to connect with people.
- Sprang and I could both tell that we were a bit off our game.
- We are putting a lot of time, energy, and emotional energy into the building these days.
- Sprang is doing more than me in that regard, the dude is an aboslute horse in the load he is carrying these days. This move has stretched him in lots of ways and has provided him with valuable work experience that only comes your way a few times in a career. Thanks Sprang for all you are getting done these days.
- Dickey's Barbeque is my new favorite Sunday lunch. Kids eat free and holy motha of all spuds. Saying the potatos are huge is an understatement.
- Went mountain biking with two guys from church yesterday. It was a good long ride, nearly two hours I would say. Everyone of us laid the bike down at some point on the ride.
- Took the kids up to the church parking lot and let them ride their powerwheels in the parking lot. Keegan has a Catepillar Dump Truck and Addy has a pink Sports Car. They had a blast.
- Ate a huge burger at a new restaurant, Burger Island, best burger I've had in a long time and Heather invited our server to Catalyst. Very cool stuff.
- Picked up Keegan's cake from Ruth Croy. The cake is super cool. I'm sure we will have pics up later.
- Kids were beyond tired, and crashed quickly.
- I commited to being more harcore about my diet this week, even though I lost one pound last week. I could have lost a lot more if I had eaten better.
