Crazy Week

  • This has been a crazy week.
  • Too much of my time is focused on this building right now. Nothing I can do about it. We go through different "seasons" of life. This is a busy one.
  • I have had many late nights at the building.
  • Heather has been cool about me not being around enough. I hate not spending evenings with the kids and Heather, just so much to get done.
  • We have gotten the runaround from the local Electric co. They are the major hold up on us attaining our Certificate of Occupancy.
  • Found out tonight that we have a contact on the inside that is going to try to expedite things for us. It was the best news I have heard in two days.
  • Our good friends, the Bloomer family, will be growing by two in the morning. Brad and Shelley are scheduled for a C-section at 7:30 am. We are so excited.
  • My back has been killing me all week. If they can do knee replacements, it seems somebody should be working on replacement parts for the lower back.
  • Had a great time hanging with my kids tonight. I love them so much. I could tell they have missed me being around. Keegan kept giving me kisses over and over and yelling Daaaaa Daaaaa in his most barbaric voice. Love it.
  • I am looking forward to tomorrow. I get to see the face of a new dad. Brad is about to become in touch with his emotional side and he doesn't even know it yet. I can't wait.
  • I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow. I average about two per year. I would love to get that down to one a month.
  • All that before lunch with another pastor to give him some stuff we no longer need.
  • In the midst of a crazy week I realize I have so much to be thankful for. A great wife, two healthy kids, a job that I love, great friends, the opportunity to pastor a killer church at the age of 33, and I could go on and on.
  • It is off to bed, gotta be up early for the birth of those twins.
