- Great day at Catalyst.
- Today was a great attendance day. 149 is our second highest ever. It seems that the rain attracts people to Catalyst because our two highest days have been rainy. I think the sun sends them to all the water that surrounds Rowlett.
- I am not big into numbers but am encouraged by the trends we are seeing in both attendance and giving.
- We have operated since day one with a philosophy of "do right things and expect good results" We have changed very little since the days we were running 30 on a good Sunday.
- Opened up with "What I've Done" by Linkin Park. I thought Sprang was gonnal blow his voice out on that song. Sprang and the Gang killed it. It was awesome!
- We sang a couple of old school songs today. Blessed be your name & Step by Step,
- We sing songs based on the the text or theme of the day, we don't pick them because they are hymns or not hymns, new or old. We pick them if they are relevant to the day to the message and translate well to our community.
- The message felt solid. Not the best ever but definately not the worse either.
- We looked at Luke 13 and tied it in with Luke 7. It would take far too long to explain it all here so you can watch at http://catrow.tv or listen to the podcast via Itunes.
- We left with a challenge to "want God more than we want answers"
- This was a message that really hit home. As God began to reveal the direction it would take, I knew I was being challenged to want God more than I want answers to unaswerable questions.
- Can't wait to see what God has in store for Catalyst in the days ahead. He is up to something and I am glad to be along for the ride.
